Seyfarth’s emphasis on exceptional client service continues to be recognized by its client base and stands out prominently amongst all law firms. Seyfarth has been cited as one of just 23 “Best of the Best” firms earning the most recommendations from clients in BTI Consulting Group’s report, BTI Most Recommended Law Firms 2025: Unlocking the #1 Source of Law Firm Growth.
The noted survey, which determines the firms who managed to earn top marks for building trust and relationship management, is based on interviews with more than 500 corporate legal decision-makers at large ($1 billion or more) organizations during the second half of 2024.
BTI found that fewer than 28% of in-house counsel would recommend their primary outside counsel to a peer. Yet, Seyfarth’s commitment to, and excellence in, delivering exceptional client service enabled the firm to stand out versus peers with general counsel and other in-house leaders.
The BTI results drill down further to identify which law firms are winning by industry and firm size. By industry, Seyfarth was ranked as a “most recommended” law firm by clients in financial services, manufacturing, chemicals, consumer goods, and retail; “highly recommended” by professional services clients; and “strongly recommended” by insurance clients. Compared with others in the “largest firms” category, Seyfarth ranks again at the top as “most recommended.”
BTI’s report reinforces the gains that result from client recommendations, highlighting that “86% of all law firm/client relationships have one thing in common – they started with an unprompted peer-to-peer recommendation.” BTI writes that, for firms such as Seyfarth who do it well and earn clients’ recommendations, “few other business development opportunities tilt the odds so heavily in a firm’s favor.”
