Stephen Poor Cited as Financial Times Law Firm Leader for Two Decades of Legal Innovation

Stephen Poor, chair emeritus of Seyfarth, earned special recognition as one of just 20 law firm leaders from around the world featured in the Financial Times Innovative Lawyers report, which marks 20 years of spotlighting innovation in the legal sector. These honorees represent firms where “innovation [is] embedded in the DNA,” distinguishing them as leaders in forward-thinking legal practice.

The Financial Times noted:

Process and technological innovation are key features of most leaders in the list, but Stephen Poor of Seyfarth Shaw stands out for leading the firm’s adoption of engineering sector approaches to resource management.”

The FT Innovative Lawyers Program, including the Global Summit: 20thAnniversary, is run in conjunction with Resilience Sustainability Growth Innovation Limited (RSGI), a global intelligence and advisory agency for the legal industry focused on resilience, sustainability, growth, and innovation across law firms, in-house legal teams, and legal service providers worldwide. RSGI, which collaborates with the FT on the Innovative Lawyers report published in the Financial Times, explained why Poor was part of a select group:

“These leaders represent the global reach of the programme in Australia, Asia, continental Europe, the UK and the US. Each individual tells a story of innovation in leadership over the past 20 years and has been successful in designing and implementing strategy that has differentiated their organisations from their peers.”
